Footprints At Sunrise

I climbed down to the shore before Kauai even stirred, the air still cool and salt-heavy, and I remember thinking how small I felt standing there in the dark. When the first light finally broke over the water, it wasn't just a color change — it felt like the sky was answering something I'd been carrying for a while. I stood still longer than I needed to, camera ready but hands almost hesitant, not wanting to interrupt the moment. This is that exact breath of light, the one that reminded me why I keep chasing sunrises in the first place.
